Society for Mathematics of Uncertainty

The Society for Mathematics of Uncertainty (SMU) is an international organization. The goal of SMU is to encourage mathematical research in the various areas of uncertainty. These include, but are not limited to, theories of evidence, random sets, rough sets, interval and imprecise probabilities, fuzzy logic, and fuzzy sets. The aim is to aid decision makers in making more effective models of systems dealing with the many kinds of uncertainty.

SMU publishes the New Mathematics and Natural Computation (NMNC) journal.
